Cookie policy
This document explains what local storage technologies the site uses, on what basis, and how you can manage your choice.
1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files a site saves in your browser. Local storage
(localStorage) does a similar job, except that its contents are not sent
to the server automatically with every request. Both let a site remember your choices
between visits.
2. Legal basis
Strictly necessary storage does not require consent: without it the functionality you asked for does not work. Anything else — analytics above all — is loaded only after you have consented, in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and the applicable rules on privacy in electronic communications.
3. What this site uses
The site loads no advertising networks, tracking pixels or third-party widgets. Fonts are served from the same domain as the site and make no requests to outside servers. In practice only two entries are written to your browser's local storage:
| Name | Purpose | Category | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
ferol.rfq.v1 |
Holds the items you marked in the catalogue with “Add to enquiry”, so the list survives moving between pages | Strictly necessary | Until browser data is cleared |
ferol.cookie.v1 |
Holds your answer to the cookie notice so it is not shown again | Strictly necessary | Until browser data is cleared |
Both entries are stored solely in your browser, contain nothing that identifies you personally, and are not passed to third parties.
4. Analytics cookies
At the date of this version no analytics tools are connected to the site. The cookie notice records your decision in advance: if such tools are added in future, they will run only where consent has been given via “Accept all”.
If you chose “Necessary only”, no analytics will be loaded and the site will keep working in full.
5. Managing consent
You can withdraw or change an earlier choice at any time — the notice will appear again and you can select a different option.
Choice reset. The cookie notice will appear again the next time you open a page on this site.
6. Browser settings
Cookies and local storage can also be managed from the browser itself: the privacy settings let you view, block and delete stored data for individual sites. The exact path depends on the browser and its version.
Please note: deleting the ferol.rfq.v1 entry will clear the list of
items you assembled for a trade enquiry.
How personal data is handled is described separately, in the Privacy policy.
