Trade terms
How we run a wholesale transaction, from the first enquiry to acceptance of the consignment. Specific figures for volumes, lead times and payment are fixed in the contract for each project.
Placing an order
Orders are placed against a written specification. It covers the article, composition, weight, size range, colour breakdown, packaging and labelling requirements, and quantity per item.
Before the specification is signed, we agree samples of the selected articles. The sample is the reference against which the consignment is later judged.
Minimum consignment and reorder increments are set per group and depend on whether an item ships from stock or is made to order. We state those figures in the quotation.
Despatch and delivery
The delivery basis is agreed under Incoterms and fixed in the contract. Deliveries within the European Union follow the rules for intra-Union supplies of goods.
Packing is either individual (item in consumer packaging) or transport packing (carton, pallet). The packing scheme affects freight volume and cost, so it is discussed together with price.
Carton markings are agreed before despatch: article, quantity, size, colour, batch number. For chain retail the marking format is set by the buyer.
Documentation
Each consignment travels with an invoice, transport documents and a packing list broken down by carton.
On request we provide the available product documentation, including fibre composition and care information to the extent required by Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011 on textile fibre names and the labelling of textile products.
The document set for a given consignment is confirmed before despatch — which matters if the goods go into chain retail or are to be re-exported.
Payment and acceptance
Settlement is by bank transfer, in the currency stated in the contract. The payment schedule is fixed in the contract for each transaction.
Acceptance by quantity takes place on receipt of the consignment; acceptance by quality within the period agreed in the contract. Conformity is assessed against the specification and the approved sample.
Claims are accepted in writing, stating the article, the batch number and the nature of the non-conformity. The settlement procedure is set out in the supply contract.

Yes, for the articles you select. The scope and terms are agreed in correspondence — usually a limited set of items on which you take the buying decision.
There is no single figure. The minimum depends on the product group, on whether the item ships from stock or is made to order, and on the colour breakdown required. The figure for your enquiry is stated in the quotation.
On a number of items, yes — by embroidery or on the label. Feasibility, lead time and the minimum run for application are checked per article and confirmed before the order is placed.
An exact shade match between different dye lots is not guaranteed by anyone in the industry. The acceptable deviation is agreed in advance, and for permanent assortment items we discuss reserving the volume from a single dye lot.
Destination and delivery basis are agreed per transaction. Deliveries within the EU follow the rules for intra-Union supplies of goods, and carriage terms are fixed under Incoterms in the contract.
